Editor’s Note: In this post I’ve got a link that is tagged with “(NSFW).” This means Not Safe For Work viewing, due to adult content.
I just discovered DeafBunny (NSFW), a deaf-owned adult entertainment company that films porn using deaf actors that communicate with each other in American Sign Language. There are even subtitles if your sign isn’t very good. Looks like they only have one movie so far – Naughty Deaf Roommates.
My first thought: “Huh, so that’s what they talk about in porn.” Interesting idea. I hope they keep it up.

That’s funny. I’ll look at that at home. The dialogue in most porn (at least most gay porn) is so inane that I always thought it would be an interesting art piece to do captioned porn. Because, who really watches it for the dialogue? Or you could mix and match. Caption it with an extremely erudite conversation. This is the way my culture-jamming-oriented mind works anyway.
From Kathryn:
True, most hearing people probably don’t watch it for the dialogue, but it kind of does help things along. Also, I need to verify whether instructional sex videos (ie: Nina Hartley’s Guides, etc) are captioned – I hope so.
